Each month New Dominion Middle School celebrates the
successes of our students. Students who earn their points,
are without referrals, and are role models to others are highlighted
as our "Zero Heroes".  The "Zero" part of this award refers to
having "zero" referrals.  This month, we celebrate our Zero Heroes
with this video. Please click on the image to have the video open in

New Dominion Middle School Participates in the Hour of Code

The Hour of Code is a global movement by Computer Science Week and Code.org that reaches tens of millions of students in over 180 countries. Not in a Galaxy Far Far Away, but at New Dominion Middle School, Ms. Truglio and Ms. Finch's science students participated in code.org's Star Wars Hour of Code.  Students started coding with blockely and then progressed to javascript.  They also learned to code so that a user could use the up, down, left, and right arrows and learned all the skills needed to create their own computer game.  Learn more about coding at https://code.org/.
